The Exile is the unofficial periodical for American expatriates in Russia. It's not for the faint of heart. If you're familiar with The Onion in the US, you've got a general idea of what goes on in The Exile.
I met a few expats during my trip. They're an interesting group, to put it as mildly as possible. I wish I had a dime for every time one of them told me "you could live like a king here!"
